Because she thinks it's her fault and he has brainwashed her to believing this is the love she deserves. That if she just tries harder he will love her the way she needs. That if she tries harder she will be a better mother, a better partner, a better lover. ๐พ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐?
Because she has pretended she is strong for so long, she is ashamed, she is embarrassed. She blames herself that she canโt even get this rightโฆ something so simple as a relationship. She has heard so many times she is a failure, it's now what she believes. ๐พ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐?
Because she doesnโt know how tooโฆ she has kept everyone out for so long to protect herself, to protect her family, she is so used to hiding the bruises, the smashed up house, the criesโฆ she doesnโt want to be seen.

Because he has threatened to hurt her, to kill her and anyone she meetsโฆ her family too. And while he says he doesnโt mean it, there is always that fearโฆ what if one day it goes too farโฆ

Unless you have been in an abusive relationship, it's hard to understand how hard it is to escapeโฆ abusers do it behind closed doors.
They do it when no one is looking and isolate their victims, control their money, their phones, their lifeโฆ.. so they have no one to turn to.. except back to the abuser.
We are more concerned with why people stay in abusive relationships, instead of the abuser themselves. They are the only ones at fault.
A victim of abuse does not need your judgement.
They need your support. They need your love. They need to not feel alone.
